Aptly named "The Kindness Town" Edison is a happening little place well known for great eats, excellent art galleries and quirky fun shopping. Restaurants include Terramar Pizza and Brewery, Mariposa Mexican, Slough Foods and Deli, Edison Tavern. Bread Farm Bakery is a must.

Cob and Cork is a fantastic upscale restaurant with all locally sourced food. ' Kind of a new place and I've only been twice but the halibut tacos are not to be missed. Excellent craft cocktails as well. Farm to Market Bakery is a little coffee shop with excellent baked goods and lots of local characters getting their morning joe.

Under new ownership, The Manor is right along the water, offers a great outdoor dining area and the food is really good too.

This a wonderful scenic route north into Fairhaven and Bellingham about 15 mins away. It's an historic state highway that winds it way along the water with some of the best scenery around, looking out at the San Juan Islands. Sunsets!

A great day trip (or more) over North Cascades Pass (closed in winter) leads you through the geologically new and unique Cascade Mountains. Gorgeous on a clear day.

While its about 1.25 hours away, we've had quite a few guests who found Kel's to be a good place to relax and refuel after hitting the slopes.

You might want to buy groceries before you arrive at Kel's
The nearest grocery store is WD Foods (small but stocked with essentials), about 15 mins away. Slough Food Deli in Edison is good for cheese, wine and fancy foods. Also, time of year depending, our garden has organic veg. Please help yourself!
