Pismo Beach is the classic beach town with great photo opportunities on the pier, miles of beach (walk north for stunning photos) and lots of classic restaurants. Downtown Pismo Beach is about 15 minutes from Olive Tree Cottages.

Fun for the entire family, this south facing beach has smaller waves, playground on the beach, and some of the best weather on the central coast. A pretty, 20 minute drive from the Olive Tree Cottages will get you to this local's favorite beach.

Cowboy country meets world class wine region describes this cute turn of the century downtown Paso Robles. Located 45 minutes up Highway 101 North from Olive Tree Cottages, the oak studded hills with occasional longhorn sighting is a picturesque drive.

The village of Arroyo Grande is very akin to Mayberry RFD. Park and walk - great restaurants, fun shops, roosters in the park, swinging bridge, ice cream lab! Ten minute drive from Olive Tree Cottages, they have parking behind most shops.

Hands down, the best restaurant on the central coast. Make reservations - expensive and absolutely worth it. Their chef is top notch and the pastry chef is superb!

Breakfast staple! Eating eggs sardou or Faye-do-do on the outdoor patio, while sipping chicory, is one of our favorite ways to start the day.

The best place to grab a picnic lunch (or a dinner) to eat on the beach or at a winery. They make their own mozzarella (need I say more?) Amazing selection of specialty foods, baked goods and wine.

Most Thursday nights from 6-9pm. The first Thursday of the month, stay until after 9 to watch the crazy bicyclists do their own downtown parade.
