Woodstock is a great place to stay or spend a morning browsing or an evening going out. My favourite places include:
- A walk from Upper Woodstock to Salt River looking at street art
- Stellsky's Coffee
- The Biscuit Mill Market and craft shops on Lower Main Road
- Hope Gin Distillery's amazing tasting
- Brunch at Superette
- Delightful Italian Pizza at Pizza Connection, followed by a vibey drink at Jamaica me crazy (Roodebloem Road)

- You can go for a walk on the promenade, or rent bikes or scooters. It stretches all the way from Sea Point swimming pool to Green Point Park and Oranjezicht Market. There are also lots of parks for kids and outdoor gyms to flex some muscles with the locals.

- If the sea in Camps Bay or Clifton is too cold for you then the swimming pool in Sea Point is stunning, clean, friendly and only 31 rand!

The best beer in the city, and chilled, Deep South peninsula vibes. You can take a walk down Noordhoek beach, or a drive over Chapman's Peak, then head here for local beer and great food.

Take a picnic/some wine and hike up Lion's Head for sunset and to watch lights come up over the city. Don't forget a torch for the way down!

One of the flatter hikes in Cape Town, but absolutely beautiful, with views over Camps Bay and up to the 12 apostles. It's an out and back hike, go as far as you feel like.

A cool spot if you don't feel like climbing all the way up Table Mountain/Devil's Peak. You go up towards the contour path and then around to an amazing overhang, sometimes with a waterfall.

Day Trips
What a cool day trip and seafood eating experience! So different from anything else - you have a seat and a 7-course seafood meal that is braaied on the beach in front of you. Bring your own white wine!

A My-Citi bus card is great for a longer stay
You can purchase one from the main bus stations - there are routes all over the city and the buses are safe, (fairly) punctual and convenient.

Take some coins for car guard tips
Most places you park around Cape Town will have a car guard - an informal job where someone watches your car. A normal tip for them is 5-10 rand, paid as you drive off.

First Thursdays are a must for going out in town!
The first Thursday of every month the art galleries and bars in town open their doors with cheap drinks and interesting art. Join the crowds and wander from place to place in the town centre. It's a vibe!
