This is a great place to go for groceries- though the line can be long and it can be chaotic on the weekends! They have another location on 23rd street that involves less walking if you take subway.

When the weather is warmer, take the ferry to here from Pier 5, and you can wander around all the old parks and get a close-up view of the Statue of Liberty!
