Probably my favorite restaurant in the city. Cajun/Creole that'll plug your arteries. Be brave. Order the alligator sausage cheesecake. No reservations for groups less than five, so get there early.

Oldest running bar in America. Oil and candle lit, so rather dim, but a popular spot. If you're not in a group I wouldn't recommend going deeper than this into the Quarter for safety purposes.
