For about $15 you can get the Annandale special: a generous serve of grilled fish - not fried or battered - plus chips and a salad. Don't forget to order a rice pudding for dessert. This is your easy dinner option. Eat outside the restaurant in Johnston St or race home and it'll still be hot.

This is a unique park on Sydney Harbour. Very few people, lots of interesting historic buildings.

This is a spectacular Harbourside park that looks across to the Harbour Bridge and the western side of the city. Great place for evening picnics. You can get the 433 to Gladstone Park, Balmain, then it's about a 20 minute walk east along Darling St down the hill to the wharf and park.

We have several local supermarkets open till 9pm every day, including the IGA in Booth St, the Superbarn nearby, and the Friendly Grocer in Johnston St. There are two pharmacies within 10 minutes walk of our house.

Entertainment & Activities
It's a unique Sydney harbour pool. Don't swim there after heavy rain as the water won't be clean enough but most of the time it's a great place to hang out. And it's cheap to get in.
