S & S Cheesecakes are topnotch, the very best. As a seasoned veteran, I have gone to their factory store on 238th St. for their drop- dead delicious cheese cakes they make by hand. In fact, they are sold to many other restaurants. One might call that cheating, but not S&S. They rule!

"The Michelin Plate: good cooking, fresh ingredients capably prepared, simply a good meal. A clubby, multi-level place with private rooms, a lively well stocked bar with windows overlooking Van Cortlandt Park. It is hard to argue with this gems deft cooking." Absolutely one of the best steaks I ever had. And they even have valet parking!!

Remember, it's located on the West Side of Manhattan which is very different from other neighborhoods in Manhattan, more relaxed, great shops and good restaurants. Eat at Carmines. Also, it is easy to get back to Riverdale. Just hop on the #1 train, get off at 231st St and take the#10 bus to Riverdale and get off at Kappock St. & Knolls Crescent(Bus Stop). Make a right, go under the tunnel, take the first left (half a block) and you are home.
