Probably the best bakery in Northern California. Try their incredible seeded bread or cheese bread. The croissants are superb too. The owner makes all his own breads and pastries and he was trained in Europe. The bad thing is they close early...when all the products have sold out. Buy some bread and put it in our freezer so you can take some home when you leave.

The views are almost as spectacular as Pebble Beach but certainly not as pricey. You can get on the course with not much advance notice and they have a very clean cafe in the club house.

The aquarium has an inceredible assortment of sea life within its walls. My preference is the jellyfish exhibit but the sea others are my youngest grandchildren's preference. The older ones love the "hands-on" part of the aquarium.

Wonderful historic lighthouse. Its beacon is noticeable every night....worth the tour!

The museum feels like a "step-back" in time. Be sure to take your children to see what museums were like in the last century. They will discover all about the local bird and fish population. Very friendly curators are very helpful.

It is only 100 meters from our home and there are two separate beaches Both are very quiet but perfect for your younger children. You can hire a canoe to go around the bay or bicycle from there to explore along the pathways.

Walking along the paths next to Ocean View Blvd is lots of fun. There are history lessons along the walkway telling about the early immigrants to Pacific Grove and the early fishing industries.
