Historical Central City Opera House, Teller House restaurant with the famous "Face on the Ballroom Floor". Local art gallery housed in one of first courthouses in Colorado.

Idaho Springs is about 30 minutes from Blackhawk. Typically, during the Summer the downtown is humming with music, people, dogs, and great food. Nice local artist collective, antique stores, soap/bath shop, restaurants (original Beau Jo's pizza) and ice cream shops. Local mining tours as well as rafting tours are located in Idaho Springs as well.
