Food scene

This is a great place to drink a beer and meet new friends. It is directly on the river and its laid back feel brings a whole new relaxation experience to dinner, listening to the river and local musicians. Has to be in the favorites category!

City/town information

Nestled in the Foothills of the Smokys, Townsend is the Gateway to Cades Cove, the most visited section of the National Park. It has a low key feel, boasts several eateries and beer halls and the most pristine river in the state of Tennessee. Tuckaleechee Caverns, horseback riding, the Heritage Museum tubing and the new mountain bike park, Vee Hollow are just a few things to do. Dont miss the Little River Railroad Museum, either.
