If you're in to "Dive's, Diner's, and Drives" this place has "The Great Balls of Fire". Otherwise, it has an eclectic selection of global food from dhal to tamales. Also, the originator of the famed "Secrete Aardvark Sauce"

So multnomah village is right next to Hillsdale and they have a bunch of little shops and stores it doesn't register on on airbnb's map guide but check it out if you want to take a little stroll about 10 minutes away from here. They have small artsy shops and such

Food Scene
Local tap house with farm to pub grub. It's hard to recommend a specific brew bc it changes, but you can't go wrong with the Chicken sandwich of if you're feeling thankful they have a turkey Thanksgiving sandwich. They also have a porch for pups.

This is the FIRST McMenamins Brewery! If you have been around this area you know that they have restored and brought weirdness to many historic spots that may have been lost. That said... I don't recommend the food. My only joy there is a rubinatior (half Terminator Stout and Ruby pils). Hammered IPA is worth a mention.

McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery & Public House
1505 SW Sunset BlvdThis is the FIRST McMenamins Brewery! If you have been around this area you know that they have restored and brought weirdness to many historic spots that may have been lost. That said... I don't recommend the food. My only joy there is a rubinatior (half Terminator Stout and Ruby pils). Hammered IPA is worth a mention.

515 S Carolina StIt is a weird drop down to get to it, but it is literally directly below our house. You have to go straight from the strange intersection heading down towards the river(see google). Anyway, it is wonderful Hawaiian food! you can get it delivered or take out and if you want to hang out they generally have live Hawaiian music on the weekends.
This is real deal Chinese! steamed buns are awesome! I recommend the Sichuan dry pot. It is downtown but it is a simple jont down Barber. It is where you should go for Chinese!

If you're looking for a nice place for breakfast or brunch/lunch this place has everything that you would want. Classy and not too extremely pricey, but a treat.

This is my go to place if you don't want to have a posh Portland meal. Large portions of easy bar food, good beer, Family and dog friendly and no lines. a little bit out of the city but if you have a car and want no fuss

Literally the best eggs Benedict that you can get. it is a very local spot so the seating can be weird but it is totally worth it

If you're a real trooper you can get to this place on trails from our house in 3.7 miles with only maybe a half mile of asphalt. Otherwise, you can drive but it's worth it. Check out the garden especially in the springtime it's the Rose City!
