There is access nearby to a beach with an old fishing pond where turtles usually bathe on the sand. It is s great place to walk around, but do not swim here. The locals say this is a place where dumping occurs so it is easy to catch an infection.

Just past downtown Kona, there is a hidden public park with tennis, swimming, walking trail, and more. There is a group of leisure tennis players there from 6am to 8am. Bring your tennis racquet and tell them Kevin and Cindy sent you. Great people!
