Franklin Park is a a short enjoyable walk from our house. It has a nice children's playground. Giant redwoods provide a peaceful setting for picnics. Franklin Park is wonderful park. The redwoods bring a sense of calm and peacefulness. The playground is a manageable size. You tend to meet families with young children .It is encompassed by beautiful Gold Coast Victorians.

Alameda Beach is located on shoreline drive, it is part of Robert Crown Memorial State Beach. It is a nice sandy beach that stretches along the shore. The water here is shallow and the water temperature is warm compared to the outer bay. The whole area has a relaxed vibe and the water near the shore is pretty relaxed, too, without much riptide. This area is favorite for wind surfer.
