Newquay is such a great destination to holiday in, it has almost everything on your doorstep!
There are fantastic beaches such as 'Fistral Beach' for surf or 'Towan Beach' for beginner's surf, kids rock pool exploring... All within 5 minutes walk from the properties.
There’s famous pasty shops through town (especially Niles), ice cream parlours for the infamous Cornish clotted cream ice cream (Freddo's being the best!), arcades, great pubs and more.
All are scattered along 'Fore street' which is at the bottom of the cottage's footlane... 'The Fort Inn' pub is popular with families as it has an indoor soft play for kids and has been recently refurbished, it also overlooks Towan Beach. Newquay Harbour is where we recommend for high tide swimming and you may even see the resident seal 'Sammy'!
There’s a great selection of shops for clothing or homewares like 'MMW', 'The Good Lyfe' or 'Sand and Palm' which are 2 minutes walk from the cottage.
Delicious cafes such as Box and Barber, Pavilion or Fore st cafe - All a stones throw away.
Plenty more great restaurants and eateries nearby like the Headland Hotel for high tea or their new restaurant Ren Mor, Pizza Jocky for take away pizza, Rick Steins fish and chips and of course the lovely food trucks down in the fishing harbour.
Newquay is famous for its outdoors, so there are many equipment hire places for surfboards, paddle boards, windsurfing and more, right on Fore Street.
The coastal walks around Newquay’s headlands are a must as the scenery is breathtaking!

Newlyn is home to one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK. Expect to find fresh seafood aplenty, delicious restaurants (Mackerel Sky being one of our favourite's in the whole of Cornwall!), art galleries and characterful humans!

Considered to be the very essence of rural Cornwall, St Agnes is a beautiful and thriving village on Cornwall’s north coast. With dog-friendly beaches, spectacular coastal paths, individual and interesting shops, and wonderful pubs and restaurants, it’s well worth a visit.
We absolutely love Mousehole, it has so much charm with its period properties kept in beautiful condition, artisan shops, natural sea pool to swim in and it's small size which makes it oh so quaint!

As one of the world’s top surfing destinations, backed by high cliffs and sand dunes, Fistral is the playground for hundreds of enthusiasts who flock to the beach to get a fix of the big waves. All the big UK surf competitions take place here including the Famous Night Surf, Boardmasters Surf Championships, National Surf Championships, the Groms plus many more…
There are some great restaurants to eat on the beach here, Rick Steins fish and chips is a winner!

The best surf school in Newquay in our opinion! The most hands on lessons with the quickest acceleration in learning to surf.

The Boathouse is a relaxed street food market in Newquay Harbour, offering fresh Cornish seafood and a varied selection of global fare. They have a new restaurant called 'Ren Mor' and it has undergone a beautiful renovation. Great place for a nice dining experience or just for cocktails! They also have an award winning spa facility which i highly recommend!
