Gray Art Glass was founded by Kevin Robert Gray in 1985. His hard work and dedication to his craft established Gray Art Glass’ position as a leading institution in the North American Glass art scene. Best known for creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art, sculptural glass and decorative housewares, our work has been featured in over 250 galleries and shops across North America. Kevin Gray passed-on his love of glass to his son Michael, who started working by his father’s side at the age of 13. Michael went on to further his craft, graduating from Sheridan College’s Craft and Design Glassblowing program, and completed additional training at the prestigious Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle, WA. In 2012 after Kevin Robert Gray passed away after a courageous fight with cancer Michael stepped in, taking over the family business. Since then Michael has strived to develop his unique voice as an artist, pushing his creative boundaries by creating large scale glass sculptural art and installation pieces, modern lighting and beautiful unique glassware. Michael’s passion for his craft, high standards of quality and creative vision are what has keep Kevin Gray’s legacy alive. This year we celebrate the 36th anniversary of Gray Art Glass’ founding. We are proud of how far we've come and look forward to continuing to embody creativity, professionalism and exceptional customer service!

Angelina Wrona is an artist, designer, and entrepreneur who has exhibited her work in galleries throughout the angelinaworld. She broke into the international art scene by way of an intimate gallery show in Los Angeles, which quickly turned into a two-year tour of North America. Over the past 10 years, Angelina’s paintings have earned international recognition by collectors and diehard loyalty from fans. A self-taught artist, Angelina has been painting professionally since 2003. Instantly bewitched by the medium, Angelina soon discovered she had no off switch – painting was something she had to do. Each piece begins as an inkling – an idea or a feeling that evolves with every brush stroke. Once she captures the main imagery, Angelina embellishes the painting with lush details like lolloping evergreens and otherworldly pink succulents. Perched in the nebulous space between dreamscape and reality, Angelina’s paintings are mysterious and haunting. They showcase the edgy, the twisted, the wounded, but her subjects aren’t victims; they have taken fate into their own hands…whatever the consequence may be. From the angelic to the demonic, Angelina’s subjects will captivate you. Alluringly creepy, they dare you to look away…but you probably shouldn’t. A lifelong fashionista, Angelina has another creative outlet – clothing design. Angelina craved the funky styles she brought home from the shops in LA, so as her career took off, she took a brazen leap and opened Anarchy Gallery – a space where she could showcase her work and the clothing she coveted. A boutique unlike any you’ve seen before, Anarchy Gallery is bursting with amazing clothes with that West Coast flavour, as well as killer handbags and accessories.

The Merrickville locks are located at the earliest mill site on the Rideau River, that of Roger Stevens, who built a mill here in about 1790. But it was William Mirick, who, a couple of years later, took over the mill and established a community which was thriving by the time of canal construction. The locks bypassed the mills, leaving them intact, allowing Mirick to continue his business. They are spaced out, three detached locks, taking advantage of the natural topography. The largest blockhouse on the Rideau, built here in 1832, is now operated as a museum. Merrickville is known as the “Jewel of the Rideau” and features many beautiful heritage buildings as well as many shops (including Friends of the Rideau's "The Depot", located adjacent to the Blockhouse). The Rideau Migratory Bird Sanctuary is located just upstream from Merrickville.

The name reflects the original homestead that is on the site. It is a traditional Victorian farmhouse complete with green gables and white gingerbread trim. Our name honours the pioneer men and women who first cleared this land and built the homestead. We take pride in the fact that we can offer all the joys of having your own vineyard with all of the charm of a country setting. We're very near, yet very far away from it all! Come and share the experience…we’re on your doorstep!
