There are several bike hire facilities in the Peaks. As well as Hassop try Fairholmes, Lady Bower or Tissington trail, Parsley Hay.

Hathersage has a heated outdoor swimming pool. There is a leisure centre in Chesterfield and for the more adventureous there is a wild swim-hole at the top of LadyBower - invigorating and great fun on a warm day.

Linacre is a few steps from your back garden with the actual reservoirs about 1 km away. The walks here are great - easy for a 1hr stroll before or after dinner, in the evening sun.
