Popular seaside town. The new arts quarter is great and has lots of independent shops and the Turner Contemporary gallery. Dreamland, a vintage theme park, is also along the seafront. The beach is fabulous but can get really crowded on a hot day. The town itself is best avoided as it is tired and has lots of empty shops.
