Lovely turkish food at good prices. I love the mixed shish, humous and falafel. Bring your own booze (which you can buy from Borough Wines which stocks excellent choices of craft beer and wine or you can get booze in the Tesco; both are opposite). Eat in or take away.

This is the best gelato in London. Amazing flavours, central but very small if you want to eat in. Definitely worth a visit if you're keen on ice cream.

This is a great butchers and fishmonger for those of you who want to buy amazing produce and cook at home. It's pricey but cheaper than eating similar produce in a restaurant so worth the investment in my opinion.

Local pub very near the flat. Lovely bar staff and ok pub food. We go here for a pint as there's plenty of space and it's dog friendly. Crowds are here on days with sports going on as they have good big screens and lots of seating.

Parks & Nature
It's only 10 minutes away on the overground train from Kensal Rise. It's the largest wooded park in central London. From the top of Parliament Hill you get a great view of the London skyline.
You can go swimming in Hampstead ponds for the ultimate London swimming experience for free or a small donation. There is a ladies only pond, men only pond and a mixed pond. Be aware that children under 8 are not permitted.
Free to visit! Dogs allowed off the lead.

Made famous by the film 'Notting Hill' this street is packed full of antique, clothes and food stalls on Fridays and Saturdays. There are lots of permanent shops, restaurants and bars there too and walkable from the flat (in about 10/15 minutes).

It's an iconic and wonderful modern art gallery on picturesque and touristy southbank. Easy to fit into any sightseeing trip in London. Wonderful cafe and restaurant and a super place to get views of London along the river Thames.
