West Wittering Beach is the closest and most scenic beach with beautiful sand dunes and stunning views to the Isle of Wight. The beach is only accessible via a pre booked parking ticket only and book early to avoid disappointment as it is very popular during peak seasons. There is a cafe and food kiosks. East Head is particularly beautiful and worth the extra walk to get there. It’s much quieter and the sand dunes are beautiful.

Pallant House Gallery is in the centre of Chichester and if you appreciate art, It is worth a visit. They have a number of interesting exhibitions, great cafe, restaurant and gift shop.

Highly recommend a ferry trip from Bosham Hoe to Itchenor. It’s only a short crossing but worth it to see the boats and then you can take a scenic walk from Itchenor along the foreshore. There’s also a great pub in Itchenor called The Ship if you wanted to combine it with a lunch stop. Please look on the Itchenor Ferry website for times and prices. We recommend parking on the corner of Smugglers Lane and Lower Hope Lane. Parking is free and a footpath will take you down to the ferry.

Only a short 20-25 minute walk from the house. Go to the end of the road and turn left. Follow the harbour down to the quay. A very scenic spot, great for crabbing and also a pint at The Crown & Anchor.
