A stroll down the trail will take you back and forth across the creek as it rambles over rocks. You will find a formal garden in the English style, collections of conifers and holly, a native wetland trail, a fruit and vegetable garden, and a desert garden hidden behind the stone wall.
If you are a master gardener or know nothing about plants, you will enjoy your time here!
It is free and open to the public daily.

This old time, everything you never knew you wanted, the store has an eclectic collection of useful and nonsense items, local preserves, and ice cream!
Make sure you walk around back to see the birds! Over 100 rescued birds.. so many parrots and also a Toucan.

Our area is known for its amazing pottery. In fact, if you drive along Pottery Road you can visit pottery after pottery each with its unique style. If you are lucky you might even catch a potter at work on his or her spinning wheel. This is a fun trip and a great way to spend an afternoon.

Southern Pines - Quaint Downtown
My completely unbiased opinion is that this is the best downtown in America!
Down town is 7 scenic miles from us. At the end of Lakebay Rd. make sure you turn left on Youngs Rd to see the miles of horse farms. You won't be disappointed in the beautiful drive on the way to town!
You have never seen crepes like this! Great for breakfast and lunch!

Aberdeen/Southern Pines Shopping Strip
The main shopping strip for our area is 10 miles south on the edge of Southern Pines and Aberdeen. If you travel south on US 1 and then right on Hwy 15-501, you will find big chain stores, grocery stores, fast food restaurants and popular restaurants.
We usually try to get here on weekdays. Good food, big portions, reasonably priced.
I think it is a hopping bar scene on weekends...
