Scenic drive from Wellsboro on Route 362, then 660 to the rim of the PA Grand Canyon and the Visitors Center. The view to the bottom is spectacular. The Pine Creek Gorge at the bottom offers a rail trail that winds for miles along the Pine Creek. Great birding, kayaking, hiking, picnics and spectacular views.

Scenic drive from Wellsboro on Route 362, then 660 to the rim of the PA Grand Canyon and the Visitors Center. The view to the bottom is spectacular. The Pine Creek Gorge at the bottom offers a rail trail that winds for miles along the Pine Creek. Great birding, kayaking, hiking, picnics and spectacular views.
A herd of 900 elk has been cultivated since the early 1900's when a small herd was moved from Yellowstone to Elk County. This is a 2-hour drive through and around the mountains but worth the drive, especially in late September, when the elk are engaged in the mating ritual referred to as "the rut". Late afternoon/ early evening are prime viewing times for elk.

Take a drive around Glenora to get a taste for Lake Life. Many restaruants, boat tours and scenic drives. Start with shopping in Watkins Glen or a good meal!
