This is by far the best Hamburger in the area! Very small diner, small town feel. They feature 6 beers on tap, local and national craft and domestic. Gregg and Mary Anne are very accommodating and friendly.

This is a very new and unique addition to the Asheville dining experience.
They are located right on the French broad river and constructed mostly out of old shipping containers. They have a great wine selection and good menu.

This was one of the first places I ate at when I moved here 10 years ago. If your looking for great seafood and a very pleasant dining experience, this is your place. I don't know where they get their selection from, but it far exceeds my expectations and I grew up on the coast.

Brand new grocery store. Great beer selection. They also have a great produce and meat selection. Very conveniently located about a 3-5 minute drive depending on your driving skills on the back roads.

Ok, so I know that when your in Asheville you probably don't want to hit up a chain restaurant. I wanted to include this one though in case you just want to go to a place your familiar with. Also my buddy Jake runs the place and can help you find some cool places in the area to check out if you ask for him and told him I sent ya.
This Friday's does feature more Draft beers than most places in this area. They have great local, regional, and national crafts.

This place just went through a huge expansion. You should definitely walk through the new facility and maybe have a beer on their beautiful outdoor patio. Maybe play on their life size river rock jenga table.
I suggest walking into dirty jacks while your there though to see where they started.

This place might be a little harder to find for people visiting the area. I'm pretty sure this is mainly sought out by locals. This is strictly my opinion, but probably the best IPA in town. Great outdoor area located on the rail road tracks.

This breweries main brewing facility is located in Morganton, NC, but Ashevillians have pretty much adopted them as their own though. This tasting room is beautiful and features a barrel aging program and small brew house.

This is by far my favorite watering hole close to the house. Very small town, dive bar feel. I love to stop by once in awhile and enjoy one of the 6 beers or cider they have on tap. They also have the coldest can or bottle beers this side of Buncombe county.

Oh how I love the Cowboy Cuban. This was an old train station turned bar and now one of my favorite restaurants when I'm on the south side or visiting the Biltmore.

This is another local favorite located in West Asheville. Probably one of my favorite dive bars in town. If you have time, stop in for their brunch on Sunday. They have a great Bloody Mary bar or ask Sabrina for a caffeinated comrade.
