This is a speak easy (no code needed) in an old house next to PDX Sliders. Fantastic craft cocktails. In the summer time they open up the patio and have yard games and live music.

Great shops and resturants. Fun thrift stores, and if you want to see a movie the Bagdad Theatre is always a go to.

Close to the apartment, and a charming neighborhood. Known for it's antique stores (Stars is a huge one, and they have so many fun treasures!). The two main strips are 13th and 17th

I would recommend walking around the Pearl rather than downtown. Lots of shops and resturants. Easy to take the street car around. Download the parking kitty app if you're driving. Makes paying for parking quick and easy.

Getting Around
Ride Share: Lyft and Uber are easily accessible throughout the city
Trimet: This is our local transit company. There is a bus stop on our block (off of Holgate) and the neasest Max station is about a mile away. The street car primarily operates downtown.
Scooters: There are several scooter companies - Bird, Lime, Razor, Shared, and Spin. I have yet to scoot around on any of these, but really want to!
Nike Bikes: Rentable by minute or day

"Portland Freeze"
More often referred to the Seattle Freeze, but sometimes Portlanders have a reputation of being a little stand offish and nonchalant. Especially when it comes to service. Since we're a big foodie town sometimes service isn't always top notch. For the most part everyone is really friendly, but you there are always those one -offs.

You never know what kind of weather we'll be having. Bring layers is the best recommendation. It could be drizzly and rainy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon.
