It is a municipality that consist of several towns: La Pinya, Mallol, Hostalets d'en Bas, Puigpardines, Sant Privat d'en Bas, Joanetes and Sant Esteve d'en Bas... most of them small and picturesque you can visit them by bike. In 30' you can go from La Pinya (on the North) to Hostalets d'en Bas (South).- Hostalets d'en Bas with its flowered balconies and the nearby Sant Quintí hermitage.
- Sant Joan dels Balbs is another hermitage (10th century) 15 min. ride from our house.
- River pools (in catalan: gorgues): a lot of people go there in summer but if you follow the paths up the river you can find lonely and beautiful "gorgues". Also at 10 minutes by car. Have a look at gorguesgarrotxa.blogspot.com.es ---> click on "Situacio" and then "Vall d'en Bas" ... it is in Catalan

- There is a bakery called "Can Carbasseres" up in Sant Rafel Street.
- Museu dels Sants (Saints Museum): Handmade religious sculptures is an old industry in Olot. Nowadays only survive a few workshops but there is a museum dedicated to that. www.museusants.cat
- Parc Nou summer concerts. Every Sunday at 18:30h in the Parc Nou www.olotcultura.cat
- Volcà Montsacopa: In the middle of Olot, 15 minutes walk to the top from the center of Olot. You can see the crater, a small church, a full view of Olot and recently started a restaurant on the top. We haven’t been there but the place is great.

Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa
All area surrounding Olot is the Garrotxa Volcanic Area Natural Park. We suggest you to visit some amazing places. There are plenty of small inactive volcanos.
- Santa Margarida has an hermitage inside the crater. 40 minutes walking to the top from the parking at the bottom.
- El Croscat: Volcano entirely covered with vegetation with the exception of the formerly quarried area that allows the internal structure of the volcano to be seen. The restoration of the quarries won the FAD prize for decorative art designs.
