- Take a 15 min stroll to Central Park, stop by Birch for a cup of coffee and pastry, and walk through the park to the Conservatory Garden around 105th St., or challenge yourself to some ice-skating at the top of the park on the West side (winter only, Pool in summer). - You can walk down to the Loeb Boathouse, a 35 minute walk from the t through iconic Central Park. In summer, rent a rowboat and enjoy the beautiful views of the city and park. If you decide to rent a bicycle: do NOT rent from vendors right outside the park. Much cheaper options available with a quick online search.

- Visit the American Museum of Natural History in the morning, and then cross the street to the Grand Bazaar year-round outdoor/indoor market selling antiques, crafts, jewelry and just anything and everything. - While there (from 5p to 7p): There are many food options, but if you want great oysters, delicious bites, and a seamless service, a 15 min stroll from 77th to 87th street will take you right to the MERMAID INN. Simple but perfect, try the fried calamari, Lobster Knuckles, and as many rounds of oysters as you can handle- Must book ahead for a good experience. If Summer: walk over to the West Side Community Garden for a breath of fresh air and possibly a performance. Check online for schedule.
