Nice restaurant within walking distance with a very nice outdoor patio. We especially like the pizza and their shrimp appetizer.

Running Rivers rents kayaks for paddling in the Kalamazoo River. You can launch right from their site in Wades Baypu or book a livery trip where they will drive you up river and you paddle back to Douglas. We especially love the 1 hour wetlands trip!
