This is another outdoor flagship location...maybe niche, expensive fly fisherman hangout. However, these guys have been making clothing for serious outdoor explorers since the Klondike gold rush of 1892!

Many people do not know Nordstrom started in Seattle. Steve and I personally have met many members of the Nordstrom family. Jocelyn working with several in the shopping industry as they grew.

While we are focusing on Seattle startups...one has to include the coffee giant, Starbucks. So get a photo of the lines waiting to experience the first Starbucks at Pike Market...but experience the best coffees in the world at the Reserve. Also it is a bit of a Willy Wonka factory for roasting!

Also it is a bit of a Willy Wonka factory for roasting!
Reopened in Feb. 2020 after a 2 year remodel...sublime museum just the right size to be awed but not overwhelmed. Plus, Volunteer Park is such a gorgeous setting. Linger in the surrounding residential neighborhood, North Capitol Hill...Seattle's old school wealth.

Years ago, the zoo gave up enclosed structures and bars separating the animals from visitors. Now the experience is a green meander from exhibit to exhibit. World class zoo! Bonus...outdoor summer concerts. Our personal fav is Portland's Pink Martini, seen them multiple times there!

Ok, first you need to find this place not too far from Pike Place Market... SO hidden, no tourist will be in attendance. Why search in a scary alley in Belltown for a drink....the prohibition cocktails and subterranean ambience is so worth it.

Reality is all the artists were priced out of Capitol Hill. Find the next Pearl Jam here. (Worth a visit if going to The Museum of Flight or have an hour to kill before a flight home.

Ok, may not want to kayak...how about your own slow moving electric boat on Lake Union! No caption's license necessary, these are easy craft to maneuver.

could be under the "Sightseeing" category. but a mile hike to the base of the falls is now an activity! The lodge is the opening credits to TV show Twin Peaks...so one can check off a number of tourist must see's here.
