Quiet, affordable restaurant with a wide variety of dishes, all delicious, and all in huge quantities. Seriously - split an entree with someone. Friendly service and a good wine list.

Service is not all that friendly, but the food is worth it. The chicken noodle soup is addictive - made with coconut milk and fish sauce. The tea salad is crunchy and satisfying, and their tofu is fried perfectly. Avoid lunch and dinner hour, as you'll never get a seat.

Punk dive bar where the locals hang out with their dogs. Huge beer selection and decent prices on pints. Good place to catch a ballgame if you want to avoid big screens and bigger crowds. Free popcorn, and an outdoor smoking patio.

They have everything you need here, but you'll have to walk through a gauntlet of homeless people, panhandlers, and petition peddlers to get there. It's not dangerous; just unpleasant. The store itself is clean and well-stocked.
