You need to take the ferry to go to Governor’s Island! This location is seasonal, so they open in the Spring. If you arrive at before 10 entrance is free! And you can also bike ride around the island to see the Statue of Liberty from afar. You won’t be able to get a close up, but you can still see it. Bring food in case you wanna spend time to enjoy the weather. Many families have picnics there, especially when it’s super warm. :)

This is an amazing place to go! When I was a child my family used to have family day here to unwind and relax! The scenery and the air is great for a nice relaxing time in the city! During the evenings there’s a lot of music and dance scenes, depending on the season and weather! There’s also shopping carts, rooftop bars, and restaurants here! A lot of locals also come here to enjoy and relax in the evenings and weekends!

Chinatown is full of little family shops and restaurants! This area is always full of life, especially when you go to the heart of Chinatown. The food is always affordable and you can always bargain with the local shops (those souvenir stores)! I mean who wants it pay full price when you can try to lower the price?! A tip to consider when buying souvenirs: Always carry small bills so you can tell shopkeepers that you have a budget and can only spend so much. They will always try to meet you in the middle! :) Also, most restaurants only take cash, so make sure you have enough!

Guys, this bakery is amazing! And it’s right in Chinatown, which is also only a 5 minute walk from my apartment. You must try the different cakes they have! All of the bakery items are freshly baked everyday! When it’s a family birthday or special occasion, I always buy my cakes from here!

This place is simply gorgeous and delicious! If you decide to come here make sure you make a reservation; the wait is long if you don’t make one. But the dishes are simply wonderful and authentic. They have pad Thai, curries, sea bass, etc. A must try if you have time.

I love their noodles. They have other dishes with rice too, but their noodles is definitely one of the reason I come here a lot! They also have a really nice vegetarian/vegan noodle soup dish. Their broths are super nice and savory and the prices aren’t too pricey! You definitely should come here if you want something to warm you up!
