Alimyon Kapehan in San Jose, Negros Oriental is a nice place to satisfy your cravings for traditional Visayan snacks, meals and coffee. Enjoy the cool mountain air while feasting on a view of Tañon Strait and Cebu island.
Azalea is a beautiful Filipino creation. The roofing structure and part of the interior is done with bamboos, giving it a Filipino ambience that speaks of beauty and nature. There are many little nature corners on the side of the restaurants where one can luxuriate in the open air amidst nature greens.
With the pressure of city living, the Azalea is a wonderful place for Dumaguetenos and the people of San Jose Town to relax in over breakfast, lunch or coffee time; I think the prettiest time would be dusk or twilight, where one can see Dumaguete and that part of Cebu island light up. Even at noon the fresh mountain air flows through the restaurant. The fog drops in even noon time and fireflies can be seen at night. Stepping into the balcony, one sees as far as the Cebu island with the beautiful wide sea view, and on the other side is the wide panorama of the hills and valleys of the San Jose scenery.
