Food Scene

Dyckman Marina, once a docking spot for yachts, has been rebuilt as a resortlike bar and restaurant with views of the Hudson River and George Washington Bridge. This 75,000-square-foot, 500-seat complex includes a casual lounge, a swankier indoor bar, a full restaurant (expect oysters, chicken lollipops, and everything in between), and at least one sandy beach bar. In 2015, La Marina added a 22-slip dock to the premises, as well as fishing, sailing, and kayaking.

Rockefeller extended the collection and in 1931 purchased the site at Washington Heights and contracted the design for the Cloisters building. Its architectural and artistic works are largely from the Romanesque and Gothic periods.
