In my opinion, the best restaurant in town. Delicious Spanish tapas, cocktails, and an extensive wine menu. For bigger groups (probably 2+) you will definitely want a reservation. Located in the heart of downtown.

Delicious indian food, their sister restaurant just won the James Beard award for best restaurant in the country (Chai Pani, also recommended). This is more casual and is close by in West Asheville, but is equally delicious.

Amazing beer, located right on the river with a great deck. They also offer tours of their massive brewing facility, which is really impressive. Very friendly staff and a huge lawn for games/kids/pups.

My absolute favorite hike in the area. Beautiful balds and views. Fairly easy, just a couple miles round trip with a moderate climb on the way up. Beautiful drive to get there along the Blue Ridge Parkway (about 45 minutes).
