Sightseeing

Albert Coffee gives a fabulous tour of this pyramid and archeological ruin. It's a beautiful site, just a short drive from San Miguel and worth the time! You do need to be in shape for the walking, and if you need to adjust to the altitude, we suggest doing this after you've been in town for a few days.

Historical heritage site worth visiting- see what many refer to as "the sistine chapel of Mexico". However, it is low-key in terms of the humble surroundings. Our recommendation would be to book a tour with our recommended private shuttle driver, Carlos Sanches (Go Carlos Tours). He has a personal interest in Atotonilco, as he is also a parishioner there.

Art & Shopping

A landmark in San Miguel de Allende, this former textile factory has been transformed to house a wide variety of artist galleries and specialty boutiques, furnishings, jewelry, textiles, etc. It is a wonderful place to spend several hours or more. There are several restaurants/cafes on site and a monthly ArtWalk is held on the first Saturday of each month, during the early evening hours.
