The former naval area, Holmen, has been transformed into beatifully restored living houses, creative work- and education premises. Overlooking the harbour and connects to the city center by bridge and harbour busses. Here you will also find the Opera House and it's spectacular silhouette. One part of Holmen is still runned by the navy but has public access during the day.

If you also enjoy alpine skiing you can rent all the gear and ski the hill. And by the way it's all on top of a super modern 'waste to energy' power plant.
