This place is a bit quirky. It's a non-profit restaurant -- the employees are volunteers. But the food is incredible. It can be a bit slow, but it's worth it. The menu is huge.

Make a reservation, and plan on driving up and over Mt. Utsayantha on your way to Bovina. It's a beautiful drive (and be sure to make a stop on the mountain if you have time.) The food is incredible. Might be a little tough to book for large groups.

This place has pretty good Italian fare, and just a short drive from the Outpost makes it a great place for takeout (they don't deliver). The pizza is really good, and so are their garlic knots. Plan on the kitchen taking a little while to prepare your food, but it'll be good.

Proprietor Jonah Shaw catered our wedding at The Turquoise Barn during a hiatus from his restaurant. He recently reopened and the food is just as good as before. This is an absolute must if you have the time.

Local Favorites
Open about 20 hours per day, this place is great for simple needs and wants, including coffee, gas, and really good ice cream. They also make subs/hoagies, and they have some really good donuts.

We've had a couple people stay with us who have been in the area for the race track. It's close enough that on a calm day you can actually hear the cars or motorcycles.

Sightseeing
A relatively short drive takes you up to one of the highest points in the area. On a clear day you can see for miles, and the sunsets can be incredible.

Less than 10 minutes from the Outpost, this is a well-stocked grocery store. The produce isn't as good as you can get from local farms and markets, but it's just fine. They have beer, but for wine you'll have to go to a liquor/package store.

Book lovers will find a few rare-book sellers, and the nearest Mirabito gas station is in this little town. Also a pretty funky hardware store. Just like the rest of the area, it's a beautiful little town.

This is the nearest big town/city to the Outpost. You'll find all your major needs here (Home Depot, Hanneford Grocery, organic stores, restaurants, movie theater, etc.) It's about 35 minutes from the Outpost.

The Outpost is not far from many of the areas wedding and event venues, making it a great place to stay.
Not far at all from the Outpost, this is a seasonal wedding venue. We've had a few guests stay with us who have been attending weddings at Blenheim Hill Farm.

This is a gorgeous event barn and property. The owners built the barn themselves, and their love of the area shows. The Outpost is not far from Garden Path Barn, making it an ideal place to stay.

We got married at the Turquoise Barn, which led us to find the Hipstitch Outpost, about 20 minutes away. Absolutely gorgeous property and wonderful owners, it's worth driving by on your way to Delhi.
