About 3/4 mile past the ferry landing (west) is Washington Park. Nice beach, boat launch, camping, lots of hiking trails and lookout points. You can 'drive the loop' and, if you are lucky, see whales swimming by!

About two miles from Hill House, you will find Whistle Lake. (Ask for Directions!) The lake is an easy mile hike from the parking lot on a paved road. A lovely walk through the forest!

A short ferry ride to Guemes Island will take you to the best beach glass beach around. There is a store on the other side for great meals and a nice wine selection. Ferry goes about every 30 minutes. It does not run at night.

Cap Sante Park is at the top of the hill directly east of the big marina downtown. Fabulous views of the city and the water. At the corner of 4th and commercial, turn right and follow 4th to the top of the hill and turn right. Follow the road all the way to the top parking lot. Bring your camera!
