Just a boat ride away! You can hop on the ferry or take the express to visit another country. Bring your passport, but it is a fun day trip to visit Victoria. If you have the time visit the gardens, they are beautiful in the summer, or have hi-tea at the Empress Hotel.

With a great view, this is a definite place to visit! The food is great and the location even greater. Right on Lake Crescent, you can have a meal and then just sit at the water and take in the majestic views.

Want a short day hike? This is a great place for the family, little ones included, to hike to the beautiful waterfall in the Olympic National Park. I took my kids when they were young several times, it is always breathtaking!

This is a great day hike! It is a beautiful hike through the woods, you get to cross a river on a walking bridge and explore the flora and fauna in its natural habitat! About 25 minute drive to the trail head from the house.
