Fun cafe, bakery and pizzeria, less than 5 min walk from the door. Out the door, turn right, walk along as far as the railway bridge and its on the other side of the road right by the pedestrian crossing.

5 min walk away Easily London's best park. No tourists, just locals. A mile of riverside. Beautiful Peace Pagoda. Children's Zoo, "La Gondola" cafe by the lake (lovely setting but average quality).

Nearest place for groceries shopping. 3 minute walk. (You'll pass Spar on the way, but Spar is hugely overpriced and lacks choice of goods). Sainsbury's also has the nearest free Cash Point.

If you want a noisy, fun night out drinking and dancing, it's always fun at Bunga Bunga. Great cocktails, and for some reason they play "All I want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey EVERY NIGHT!

My favourite local pub. More like a New York bar. Dog friendly, great food whether it's bar snacks or a full meal, and the friendliest staff of any pub I know.
