In order to get the most out of Crab Island you should consider booking a pontoon boat. There are also ferries to Crab Island as well so that you can access the bars and floating food stands! Make sure you take sunscreen and a credit card or cash for the food stands and bars.

Low key oyster bar with amazing gumbo as well. This place is a little bit of a drive but it has an open air deck on Toms Bayou which has amazing views! Order the oyster combo with my favorite the Black and Blue Oysters!

Going to Destin and Crab Island in the Summer
If you plan to visit Crab Island during your trip make sure to go early in the AM before the traffic becomes heavy. If you will until lunchtime the traffic will take you an hour to go 6 miles.

The ferries and Crab Island Boat rentals book very early. If you are arriving and decide you want to take a pontoon or a water ferry book it as soon as you arrive as they sell out early.
