Yummo. Great Fish n Chips. Take em down and sit on the beachfront. Just beware as the seagulls know how good they are too. A perfect lunch or dinner for the discerning gourmet, especially if accompanied by a sneaky glass of wine. Be careful that the no alcohol days are not in place.

Update-08/02/2020. It looks like there has been a change of management and fit out. Food is still great although a few non authentic additions. Service? Well that’s the challenge. May still be worth a look but a bit more of a sports bar pub feel now rather than Authentic Bavarian.
Try the Mango Weiss beer in Summer. It’s amazing. A great place to feed all the family and I bet your not hungry when you leave. Generous portions, kids favourites and a great range of beers to wash it down. Right on the wharf so spectacular views while you eat indoors or outside.

Try the Mango Weiss beer in Summer. It’s amazing. A great place to feed all the family and I bet your not hungry when you leave. Generous portions, kids favourites and a great range of beers to wash it down. Right on the wharf so spectacular views while you eat indoors or outside.

Being a local I get to holiday here every weekend. Some of the regular best things are . . .
You can see this great safe beach from the roof deck. There is a beautiful walk around which will take you about 20mins each way depending on your pace. Take some snorkeling gear with you, if you can, and enjoy the Cabbage Tree Bay Marine reserve. No surf here but plenty of people catching the rays, or having a latte. For the really adventurous and fit follow a local on a swim from Shelly to Manly (weather permitting).

Better than Bondi, in my opinion, as it's closer to amenities, and has more of a village atmosphere. Beautiful sand, surf and sun is just what you'll find here almost all year round.

You could get a bus to the Spit bridge and the walk back to Manly. Best this way so you can eat and drink and recover with lots of food a beverage choices.

Manly is blessed with dozens of places and different styles of pubs and bars depending on your taste. Microbreweries, cocktail lounges, live music venues, dj haunts, upmarket pubs and a variety of quaint bars dot the area. Best of all they are all within walking distance of our apartment.

Great view out to the beach and the most amazing place to people watch the tourists and locals strolling past. Get yourself a cocktail from their extensive list and maybe something to nibble on as you contemplate the world you your next step for the evening. If you hang around late then the DJ will probably get things pumping.

Get upstairs onto the balcony here. A PIM’s jug for the ladies and a beer for the blokes will make that stunning view over the Corso and out to Sea, just that much more bearable.

An interesting concept in bars. I haven’t been there yet but it’s a speakeasy. Hidden behind a 1920 fridge door in the Cove Deli is a spiral staircase to The Cumberland. Something different and I think worth a look given it’s just across the road in Central Ave. Look for the Cove deli ( turquoise coloured, near the underground carpark entrance. ) Open from 5 pm daily.
