Door County has a vast array of restaurants up & down the peninsula that will appeal to just about any culinary taste. We put together a list of our LOCAL favorites for you here, shown below (in no particular order). For all the Foodies out there, check out the DC dining guide for lots more options!
Shoreline Restaurant in Gills Rock has the BEST view of Hedgehog Harbor, and worth the wait. The downside is they have seriously limited days they are open (thanks to lack of wait staff). Catch the sunset while you dine – it’s awesome! They offer a unique menu.

Door County Ice Cream Factory (located at the north end of Sister Bay) – Pizza, paninis, subs, salads, soups… and the world’s best ice cream – no lie – made onsite daily. Their food is fresh & mighty tasty. Dine in casual or take it to go. They offer a nightly “pizza & soda” special… affordable & feeds the whole family. But save room for an ice cream desert… yum!

Their food is fresh & mighty tasty. Dine in casual or take it to go. They offer a nightly “pizza & soda” special… affordable & feeds the whole family. But save room for an ice cream desert… yum!
Mink River Basin Supper Club – More “Sports Bar meets Supper Club meets Microbrewery.” Great burgers, Friday night fish fry, and on Saturday nights their chicken or shrimp Alfredo special is awesome. Eat inside or outside on the deck. They have a huge tap beer offering & boast the largest selection of whiskey in Door County, if that’s your thing. They also have a HUGE game arcade, with free use of the pool table.

They also have a HUGE game arcade, with free use of the pool table.

Now THIS is a sports bar with really good food… in addition to their burgers, Reuben, Phillys, walleye, perch, nachos & salads, you can’t go wrong with their pizza offerings either… really, everything is great. AND they have live music outside in the “Garage” several nights a week.
Carroll House Family Restaurant (Sister Bay) is open only 7am-2pm, but if breakfast is your thing, you might want to give it a try! Waffles are their specialty, but they have a comprehensive breakfast/lunch menu, service is friendly and fast & the food is consistently good.

Not only a great supper club style eatery, the Sister Bay Bowl also has a 6-lane bowling alley (complete with free "rentals" of shoes) for the whole family to enjoy. Good food, good service, with a wonderful view of downtown Sister Bay.

The Blue Bear restaurant offers a wide variety of unique gluten-free, organic, locally sourced food options. It opened for business in 2022 in the former Viking Grill building in downtown Ellison Bay. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
