Panama Rocks has been the #1-rated attraction in Chautauqua County based on independent reviews on TripAdvisor for over five years! The formations at Panama Rocks are surrounded by a one-mile long hiking trail, but most guests enjoy going off of the main trail to explore! Whether you take a casual hike in the woods or climb through the countless passageways, caves, and crevices, how much you do is up to you! Visitors spend anywhere from one hour to the entire day having fun and exploring the park. Learn about geology, the environment, and local history with our information signs and educational treasure hunt - fun for kids of all ages. Picnic tables are available, so bring a lunch and enjoy your day with us! The hiking trail is relatively easy to hike (Class 1) and guests of all ages enjoy it, but there are roots, rocks, and uneven ground; it is still a hiking trail! Chautauqua Institution is located within 5 miles from our home. There is an entrance fee during the Summer Season. Why do people come to the Chautauqua Institution? Many of the visitors who return to Chautauqua year after year describe it as an experience rather than a vacation -- a place for renewal. The Chautauqua Institution was founded on the belief that everyone “has a right to be all that he can be -- to know all that he can know.” A dramatic lakeside setting and the beauty of its National Historic Landmark architecture make the Chautauqua Institution a thriving community where visitors come to find intellectual and spiritual growth and renewal. It is a summer center that encompasses the arts, education, religion and recreation; a place, removed from the day-to-day world, where some of the leading thinkers of our time come to speak to the concerns and issues of today; a place where music, dance, opera, theater and the visual arts create the "Chautauqua Mix." Located within 2.5 miles from our home. This is our favorite local brewery ~ it's a small brewery, but we love it. Big Inlet Brewing is a New York State Farm brewery whose goal is to produce the highest quality beers using locally grown ingredients.
