Favorite breweries with food
So many good breweries in town but if you want a bite to eat too, then this is my list
I swear they have the best fries I have ever eaten and make sure you have the local MFT ketchup on them. Great beer choices. I've never ordered something that isn't delicious. Has a great skier and outdoor person vibe. Kids are welcome here. Close by (less than a mile) but not a great walk from here unless you walk via the foothills (and that would be amazing!).

Great food menu and a wonderful extensive beer menu. It is not in the coolest location but that also kind of makes it seem like a find. Healthy options for bar food. Not as many kids here as some places in Boise but still kid friendly.

This is my go-to spot for company. They don't have their own beers but they have a great selection of local beers. This place also has liquor, specifically great whiskey. The food is locally sourced and honestly pretty fancy for bar food. Cool downtown atmosphere. Parking is a bit harder because it is on 8th street but still unlikely to be more than a 3 block walk. Take an Uber if you don't want to even have to think about parking.

1026 S La Pointe StI just love their IPA. This is a fun atmosphere more on BSU campus and near the Albertson's park. It is next door to Madre tacos (read up on that one, pretty cool). Inside there are games and pin ball making it a fun playful atmosphere. Food isn't served here but it is in between two places that have great food that you can bring it and because food isn't served, you can bring your dog.
Coffee with and without breakfast
Well, it was just going to be coffee but I think it is good to know if you can also get something to eat.
Holy moly do they have great food and coffee. I hate telling people about this place because it is so cool and so affordable and so delicious that I fear one day there won't be any where to sit. The service is amazing. It's also downtown but not right in the heart so you are close by but parking is easier.

I'm going old school. There have been many new cool coffee shops open up but this place just simply has the best coffee. A very progressive atmosphere and great gifts. The food is more in line with pastries and cookies but they do have some of the best oatmeal around. Also, their chai is home made. Unbelievably good.

So thrilled to have a great coffee shop close by. This spot will keep you away from the downtown scene and traffic but is just gorgeous and cool and dog friendly. Good food options via burritos and bowls premade in a case that they will heat up for you. One of my favorite spots.

Nice walking distance from the Airbnb. Good food - specifically the eggs benedict. A bit of an older crowd most of the time. Coffee is good. Mostly I like it because it is a nice walk - I can give you directions via the foothills if you would like.

Local Eats that are one of a kind
We really are known for amazing food. You almost can't go wrong. Expectations are high so only great places survive. This list is my affordable list but there are great fancy places too.
Close by tacos. Carne Asada tacos are $1.50 a piece. They serve local beers on tap. I feel like I don't need to say anymore.

Just an awesome hippy place with great pizza. It is a bit more expensive for pizza but even my snobbiest pizza friends admit that it is a contender for the best pizza ever. Any pizza can be made with their sour dough crust which is amazing.

I haven't been in their since. I assume this will only make their food better. Close by. Dog friendly. Horse shoes and other games.

Casual fancy dishes. Very trendy, but don't let that scare you away. The food is amaze-balls.

We stayed at the Inn at 500 when they first opened and had drinks and appetizers here. Notably delicious, well thought out dining experience. Walking distance from everything.

Trendy spot with great cocktails and good food. I love that they always have a great soup. Their happy hour is one of my favorite. 8th street scene.
