Go early, because the wait can get really long here. Everything is super fresh and delicious. Very homegrown vibe, plus they grow some of their own produce. Bustling and lively!

Some of the best vegetarian food I've ever had (I'm not a vegetarian btw). Awesome housemade elixirs too that can be made into a cocktail with a shot of vodka. Very friendly & cool decor too.

They have kombucha flights here, flavored fermented teas I love & worth trying if you've never. Also delicious food here & they make fun cocktails. Best spot downstairs at garden-like Buchi Bar.

This is a fun, family-friendly brewery has huge covered patio where they show movies & have games. All the food is great; step above typical pizza joints. Also can order hops to dunk in your beer.

This is the closest brewery within walking distance to our house--about .5 miles away. They have really good food, are dog friendly and play live music on most nights.

This cider brewery has a coffeehouse vibe. I always get the flight and they do some inventive stuff with hops, ginger, and fruit flavors. Get the dip trio--they have like 8 to choose from, all good!

Haven't eaten here yet, but they have an awesome listening room upstairs for intimate shows and an outdoor patio area with live music some nights too.

One of our favorite breweries. They have really inventive beers here, so we always get a flight. Indoor/outdoor seating, fun atmosphere and food from Salt & Smoke located outside at the back of the building.

We love this space with its high ceilings and open floor plan. Skip their flagship beers that are sold in cans everywhere and go for small batch, only-at-the-brewery beers.

Head downstairs to the Belgian bar for some really cool imports. The third floor is a speakeasy that really does it right with housemade everything, plus a rooftop patio that we love.

This section of the Blue Ridge Parkway is steepest & has tons of overlook stops along the way to Skinny Dip Falls. Really cool, small waterfall for exploring or swimming. Hike is pretty challenging.
