They even have gluten free crepes! I recommend all of the savory and sweet crepes that they serve. Service can be a little slow when it's busy, so grab a glass of wine, sit outside, and enjoy the time to chat!

They have local live music some nights, so check out their website! Not only is their pizza stellar, but they have great tiramisu as well. This place is not fast, but worth the wait for sure!

If you're craving Asian food, they have an EXTENSIVE menu. The inside is fancy and a great date place, but we always order take out. Crab rangoons, pad thai, and the dumplings are dreamy! And the menu lets you know what is gluten free.

This place is cheap and delicious. It's not fast, but seriously where else will you get something so delicious as these burgers... for only $4?? They also have fantastic milkshakes.

This is a really unique Indian place, as they serve street food and traditional style curries. The owners are fabulous people. The drinks are divine. One of our favorites! Try the Tandori Fish Wrap... they also have a bar downstairs.

This is the most interesting restaurant you will ever eat in. Seriously. The decor is unlike anything I've ever seen before. How can something be so eccentric and yet... still have so much taste? The food is really something special as well. ;)

This is hands-down the best barbecue in NC. Just ask Barak Obama! Their hours are very strange, so check out the website first. The south Asheville location has more hours available.

This is a great place for young kids. Entry fees are low as they are still building the exhibits. Great place to kill an hour while entertaining children downtown.

Sometimes they have costumes from popular movies and TV shows on display in the rooms! There is a large area where children can play and visit their farm animals.

Use your GPS to plug in directions to Mount Mitchel, and less than halfway there you will be on a gravel road that contains MANY trailheads! At only 15-20 minutes from our home, it's definitely the closest hike. These trails are hidden away so they are never crowded with other hikers. I can't tell you how many miles there are, as I've never hiked them the whole way. These hikes are deep in untouched forests.
