The Italian Store! This original location has THE BEST sandwich in Arlington, VA. Favorite of locals, if you go here and have a sandwich you get instant Arlington street cred. Hard or soft roll is the hardest choice you have to make here. Go hard. You won't regret it. Don't forget to grab a line ticket when you get there. Line can get long on weekends. Worth the wait though.

Hard or soft roll is the hardest choice you have to make here. Go hard. You won't regret it. Don't forget to grab a line ticket when you get there. Line can get long on weekends. Worth the wait though.

This park has a great little hike with a large and awesome semi-secret monument on the hike. Great nature walk. Accessed by a foot bridge.

Sightseeing
This free memorial to the victims of the 9-11 attack on the Pentagon is a very special place. The memorial itself is thoughtfully planned with special meaning built in to its design. This is my favorite place in D.C. for reflection and peace and quiet when needed. Recommend visiting at dusk.
