Take the famous Dipsea trail from downtown Mill Valley (start at Old Mill Park) up the stairs, over the mountain and down to Stinson beach. If you're not in the mood to hike the 7 miles back you can catch a bus or try for an Uber.

Our favorite beach - plenty of hiking trails nearby as well as a beautiful dog friendly beach. You can hit the Pelican Inn Pub for a drink and bite to eat on your way in or out.
