LOVE LOVE this place. Even if you don't like modern art, this is a must see in my opinion as the local park out back is full of an amazing and very positive energy... depending on the day, you'll find everything from great local street food vendors to impromptu dance recitals. Worth a visit.

Even if you don't like modern art, this is a must see in my opinion as the local park out back is full of an amazing and very positive energy... depending on the day, you'll find everything from great local street food vendors to impromptu dance recitals. Worth a visit.
Just steps (literally) from the Obra 19 apartment, Akzara is a professional local spa offering reasonably priced massages and other spa treatments. That said, the spa in Celestino is much better.

A museum dedicated to the memory of those lost in Colombia's more violent times, thankfully well in the past. Heavy, but worth the visit.

An absolutely jaw-dropping collection of art hidden away in an unassuming museum — a building that was once a aguardiente factory and later the palace of Rafael Uribe Uribe, the Governor of Antioquia.
The third floor all by itself would be worth the trip as it houses an staggering collection of invaluable works by Botero (and some from his personal collection) and — like the statues in the adjacent plaza — all works were donated to the city by the artist himself. Amazing.
The next two floors feature a beyond impressive collection of works by other Colombian & Antioquian artists from Francisco Antonio Cano to Pedro Nel Gómez.
Amazing.

52-43 Cl. 52An absolutely jaw-dropping collection of art hidden away in an unassuming museum — a building that was once a aguardiente factory and later the palace of Rafael Uribe Uribe, the Governor of Antioquia.
The third floor all by itself would be worth the trip as it houses an staggering collection of invaluable works by Botero (and some from his personal collection) and — like the statues in the adjacent plaza — all works were donated to the city by the artist himself. Amazing.
The next two floors feature a beyond impressive collection of works by other Colombian & Antioquian artists from Francisco Antonio Cano to Pedro Nel Gómez.
