Best place ever to enjoy a good meal looking over Praia Grande Beach and the estuary of the Arade River, the food is fantastic and you have live music every weekend, and it will take you a 2 minutes walk from Angrinha Beach House

The owners are great fun and will do anything to make you feel at home, Vasco and Joe are the perfect hosts for a nice dinner at Ferragudo.

In the middle of a typical narrow street of Ferragudo, you can eat an Italian meal, on a Italian owned Pizzeria. The staff is fantastic and the food, "mama mia ".

Beach restaurant, at a walking distance from Angrinha Beach House, the food and views are great and I do love eating on the sand.

The old "Town" of Alvor, conquered by the Portuguese first Kings to the Moors, is know a lovely fishing village overlooking kms of sandy beach, bars, restaurants, a spot to visit, and yes they have an italian restaurant next to the old church, called "il angolo" go there and then tell me about it!

They have a lot of boat trips, to sea caves, up the river to the old walled city of Silves, dolphin watching and you just need to open the gate, go into the sand, turn rigth to the quayside of Ferragudo and chose your boat trip.

If you have a car or take a Shuttle, do go and spend a day at the town of Lagos, take a plunge into the water, dry yourselve while visiting the several churches, the old slave market... and try one of the many restaurants in the old town.

The walled town of Silves, once the proud capital of a Moorish kingdom as a lot to reveal you, like its abbey, castle and its Archaeologic Museum, showing the occupancy of this site since the neolithic times until today.

Cape and Fortress of Sagres, a good hour drive from Ferragudo, but I think that for those that like history its a good hour drive, the cape and fortress made part of a Navigation School founded by Prince Henri The Navigator and was starting place for the coming Portuguese Age of Discoveries during the XV an XVI cenuries.
