Historic Coast Guard Station turned restaurant and bar is legendary and one of the oldest establishments in Kitty Hawk. It is located across the street from the beach offering ocean view from Outdoor Deck and some indoor tables. The u-shaped bar is a fun place to eat drink and interact with locals and tourists. Large menu offers something for everyone. The gift shop, offering souvenirs, jewelry, beach related iitems and a unique selection of pelican iitems making it one of my favorite shops because I am a collector of pelicans.

They offer free outdoor music events all summer and is a popular wedding and event venue. The store is a fun place with endless rooms of chachkies and souvenirs. Call ahead for more info about music and wine tasting to schedule wine tasting events.

If you are a thrifter then I suggest you visit one time while you are here - you never know what treasure you may find here.. One of a dozen thrift stores located on the island, the Hotline stores were the original thrift stores. Hotline Too, Hotline Pink's sister store, is located in Nags Head. All renevues support home for battered women in the area. Many items in the Seagulls Nest were purchased from the Hotline stores.

One of our favorite spots to slip away to is this park, home of the highest sand dunes on the east coast. Most come to the park to climb the sand dunes but we enjoy getting lost in the surrounding woods with our fur babies.
